It’s no surprise that we don’t always agree with the Trades Union Congress (TUC), but as temperatures soar we’re inclined to side with them today – it really is too hot for shirts and ties. Whilst we won’t be calling for additional regulation on business via a maximum working temperature, as the TUC have, we would urge all our members to be understanding with staff who might be feeling a little lethargic in this heat, and encourage them to wear, within reason, clothes that they’ll feel comfortable and productive in.
